LEGO Education
Stanley Mosk Elementary School is celebrated as a Lego Education Model School, one of only two in the nation. Since 2015, Mosk has partnered with LEGO Education in a program program designed to demonstrate the effectiveness of a hands-on curriculum tied to the California State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. Staff receives regular training from LEGO Education on how to use the latest robotics and coding kits such as SPIKE and SPIKE PRIME. For our younger students, students learn about a range of topics including coding, social emotional learning, story telling and how to build simple machines.
Furthermore, our After School Robotics Program exclusively uses the Spike kits to help teach students about collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking skills.
